I love comedy, and hold stand up comedian in the highest regard in terms of entrainment. It is brilliant how one person can entertain a room with thousands of people with nothing but a microphone and their words.

It was this love of stand up comedy that lead me into studying film.

On a Sunday night I was sitting on the couch of past girlfriend after rewatching Simon Amstel’s “Do Nothing’ stand up special.

When I thought, I’d love to do that,

but I could never get on stage and perform.

So, instead I applied to Deakin Universities Bachelor of Arts – Film and Television. I was unaware that the application was very late and I before I could reconsider I was admitted and on Wednesday I was attending my first class.

Throughout the degree I excelled at a few things mainly producing and directing but I always aspired to be a writer and continued to work on my short films over and over anbd in the final year of the degree my short film was selected as one of the best in the year level and selected to be made.

This sparked a continual motivation to always write and create as part of my daily life.

Travel Notes – 2023 Switzerland, France, Italy and Germany – Work in Progress

This blog covers my experiences, adventure and thoughts while travelling with my partner Courtney on a memorable journey through the picturesque landscapes of France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.

We primarily travelled around in a camper van, allowing us to explore less popular destinations while making pit stops at charming caravan parks along the way.

“At Sizes and Sevens” was my concluding project during my final year at film school.

It stood out as one of the ten selected screenplays from our year level.

The film was born from an adaptation of a celebrity’s intriguing experience following a late-night escapade.

BBQ At HighNoon

BBQ at HighNoon is a short screenplay, co-authored with Sondre Fristad, was crafted with the aim of discovering humor in the fusion of two distinct genres. To be specific, it introduces a Western character into a straightforward drama, creating an intriguing blend that evokes laughter and amusement.

Being Robbed

“Being Robbed” is a short film I crafted, wrote, and directed in 2025. It’s a fusion of straight comedy and surrealism that challenges the usual formula. I particularly enjoyed flipping the narrative convention, where one character is immersed in a surreal world, by placing a straightforward character into a world filled with surreal counterparts.

The waiting Room

Waiting room is a script for a simple sketch, that is an experiment in tone.

“Haunting Anonymous” is a dark, dramatic comedy that explores themes of love, loss, and the journey toward moving on.

“Inner City Monster” is a series that follows a young couple as they grapple with the horrors of their new, haunted house and neighborhood, all in pursuit of an ideal lifestyle.

“Power Nap Man” is a short film that follows a lower-tier superhero in a world where an abundance of increasingly unimpressive heroes emerge.

“The Courtroom” is an ongoing screenplay I’m currently working on. It serves as a creative endeavour aimed at constructing a rich tapestry of captivating characters. In this project, each individual, regardless of their centrality to the plot, is imbued with a unique background and their own intriguing story.

The Paramedic is a dark comedy with absurdly upbeat moments, pitting a seasoned, depressed veteran against a young, enthusiastic paramedic. As they respond to a series of cases throughout the night, both characters begin to question their worldviews and beliefs.

“Interview at Highnoon” is the sequel to “BBQ at Highnoon.” In this instalment, the cowboy is on the hunt for a stable office job, despite his experience being limited to showdowns at noon.

“Undercover Stockholm” is a comedy that delves into an undercover cop’s emotional turmoil as he confronts the challenge of bringing down the gang he’s infiltrated over the past two years. Throughout this time, he has become an integral part of the gang’s family.

“5 Steps to Drink Driving” offers a dramatic portrayal of a man waiting in line for a sobriety checkpoint, going through the five stages of grief and loss as he faces the impending certainty of being caught.

The Videographer

“The Videographer” is a film that delves into every videographer’s worst nightmare – forgetting to press record on a wedding video. Now, Sam must take on the roles of writer, producer, casting director, and director to recreate the most authentic reenactment of a bridezilla’s special day.

Death do us part – work in progress

Set in an old country town, ‘Death Do Us Part’ unveils the inner workings of the second-best funeral parlor in town. I penned this story during the COVID-19 pandemic when, due to a lack of business, I spent a year live-streaming funerals. In that time, I witnessed the beautiful, poignant, and sometimes humorous moments that arise during the celebration of life and bidding farewell to our loved ones.
